MASAKAZU BOKURA FOR ISSEY MIYAKE, 1994

"As a lover of Miyake’s fashion, the simplicity here speaks to form and function. To me this bathtub is an iconic statement, especially in contrast with the simple tiling. I would love to see the return of glass bathtubs in interior projects. I hope to implement an example like this in a future design scheme."

RICHARD ROGERS, LONDON PENTHOUSE BATHROOM, 1990s

"I am always drawn to cinematic interiors that incorporate stainless steel, glass, and mirrors for reflection. I love the incredible futuristic energy created in this space and the experience one might feel being in it.  The satellite mirror is probably one of the most iconic bathroom elements and one of my personal favorite pieces."

MOURAD MAZOUZ AND NOÉ DUCHAUFOUR-LAWRANCE, SKETCH LONDON, 2002

"Ever since I first visited Sketch in London twenty years ago I was absolutely in awe of the creativity and experience of its bathroom! The pods are memorable in so many ways, they were among the first hospitality bathrooms to really push the needle on functionality and the unexpected. They are conceptual, artistic and beyond playful."

WILLIAM T. GEORGIS AND ABY ROSEN, LADIES LOUNGE, THE GRILL, 2017

"Located inside the Seagram Building in Manhattan, the Grill is probably one of my favorite restaurants in the city. As much as I love the dining experience, the powder room is at the top of my list of most beloved interior spaces. There is a stunning old Hollywood glamour that also feels simple and elegant. I love the way the room glows and the warmth of the color drenching in the carpet and vanities. I never walk in there without taking a photo."

PALOMBA SERAFINI ASSOCIATI, PALAZZO DANIELE, 2019

"I’ve added this bathroom because of its raw grandeur. The mosaic, raw structural details and volume, the unpolished nature of this space appeals to me through how its showcasing a space through time. I have never made it to this hotel but it has been on my wishlist to visit for years mainly because of this bathroom. I think that says a lot!"

ANDRÉE PUTMAN, MORGANS HOTEL, 1984

"Having used many checkerboard and stripe motifs throughout my work, this Andree Putmann bathroom has always been a great reference point. My own powder room at home is fitted with this same stainless sink unit because I have always been so inspired by the space."
