I grew up in the country and love to be in nature. I like when things are quiet and natural. It could be something to do with growing up in the woods or it could just be my preference.
I feel most beautiful at dawn or dusk. I always wake up super early and get a coffee. I’ll go for a long walk or sit in the park by my apartment, listening to a podcast, journalling or just sitting in the quiet. Often a mix of all three. If I feel like it, then I’ll go to the track and stretch with the jocks. I feel most alive when I’m traveling, or at home. Crete and Costa Rica are my favorite places. When you’re surrounded by so much beauty, you’re more likely to remember all that you want and are grateful for. It is an ideal state of mind.
My ritual begins with washing my face, using a serum and sometimes I do a mask. I would say the most I do for my skin is drink a lot of water and detox my liver with herbs, sauna, dry brushing and exercise. If I really want to treat myself, I’ll put lotion all over my body and give myself a mani pedi.
I look forward to learning. I love to learn, to study subjects that help me understand myself— mind or body. I follow my inspiration and desires. It lets me know what, where and how I should spend my time. When it comes to beauty, I think you decide what you see. Beauty is experiencing something from a place of appreciation. If you appreciate something, it’s beautiful.
Art is a large part of what brings me joy, whether I am making art or appreciating the work of someone else. It’s a part of my life when I choose to focus on it, but I’m interested in many things. In five years from now, I hope to work in healing anyone who wants to be better, including myself. I’m currently working on my self discipline, trying to let go of negative emotions or letting myself swing into a bad mood.
I hope to consider myself and my being as things come to pass before blaming anyone else for what I see or feel. My best advice is, sleep a lot and never eat in a bad mood.
