"I feel most beautiful when I’m alone. I have no one’s judgment, and feel at ease. When I’m out in nature, traveling or with the people I love – that’s when I feel the most alive."

ANABELLA

In all honesty, my beauty ritual is very, very simple. I’d say both my mother and grandmother taught me about beauty and influenced my ritual. They would always tell me to drink lots of water, eat vitamin-rich foods, and to not have a complex routine. Sometimes, when I feel like I want to have a more elaborate beauty ritual, I’ll spray some Zizza flowers face mist, use Lesse Balancing Face Oil, and, for an exfoliator, I’ll use silk cocoons or a homemade coffee scrub. Maybe I’ll apply some castor oil on my eyebrows and eyelashes for the finishing touch.

Taking care of yourself is very important. I think the most important trick is to not put so many products on your face or body. The beauty industry needs less nonsense. I think there is an abundance of pointless products. It is always important to consider the people behind the products I use. Who they are, what their mission is, whether they’re genuine about their practices.

I currently live in Portland, but was born in Miami and grew up between there and Puerto Rico. Oh how I miss the sun and food. I usually start off my day with a cup of coffee and a smoothie. I always call my mother during that time and we talk for about an hour. Afterwards, I put some music on then I sit and read a few chapters from whatever book I’m reading at the moment.

Whenever someone discusses something I’m not aware of, I take notes in this green notebook I have. I despised that I would find myself having a conversation and something would come up that I wasn’t familiar with, and I would just go on with my day. Now I immediately write it down so I can research and remember it later.

“In all honesty, my beauty ritual is very, very simple. I’d say both my mother and grandmother taught me about beauty and influenced my ritual. They would always tell me to drink lots of water, eat vitamin-rich foods, and to not have a complex routine.”

I’m really affected by the spaces I’m in and the colors that surround me. I love feeling when I see people roam a space and can tell they feel something. I want to make spaces that will have an impact and generate conversations. Five years from now, I hope to have my own design studio called Lioni where I would focus on designing markets, restaurants, hotels, and gardens.
